Intro Two Weeks Activities Flights Money Great sites bloques and chicks Limited liability Travel info

Here are some ideas of thing to do during these two weeks. Have also a look at the proposed program.

Dala-dala : the best way to enjoy a journey over there. It is small pick-up, where passengers sit at the back. Rather cheap (except for tourists who pay the price of 30 locals). They drive like crazy. Always crowded. Very, VERY frightening! but so much fun and fast. Good way to speak to locals (by signs: they do not speak English).

Emerson's House : a nice typical hotel, well worth a visit. Sorry guys, unless you win at the lottery this is too expensive for us.

Spice Inn : good lunch. Also sell spices in plastic bags. Perfecy for presents, although spices are much more expensive than at the market.

The Yoghurt Parlour (owned by Mrs Blanche who is Indian) proposes delicious crab-curry and special yoghurt drinks. Also the Chit-Chat offers nice dishes.

Many old buildings in town. Each has a very history linked to a famous person.

Dows and ngalawas . Typical local boats. Smells like fish, but you have so much fun with the sailors.

Walks in town. Exiting in all these narrow streets. Takes a week to find one's way back.

Turtle ride in Prison Island! Turtles do not like it, though. Me either.

Diving, snorkelling, sailing, fishing.

Sleeping on the beach.

Coconut tree climbing. Coconut catching. Coconut cutting. Coconut eating. All together, takes 2 weeks to obtain the reputed title of Master Of Coconuts .

Visit of the island. See: 2 weeks in ZNZ.

Learn about the history of znz and the area. Really interesting.

Learn swahili. Anyway you will have to know a few words.

Learn and practice the art of bargaining. You willlearn quickly, after loosing half of your money on stupid things.

Just enjoy and think about all these stupid Europeans who are in a cold, rainy and windy weather while you are comfortably on a warm white beach.

Miss Zanzibar 1951. She is still very pretty and can be seen in Town.

And much more but I am tired of typing.
